In the last few weeks Room 10 has.....

Done a few Science Experiments: How to turn a solid into a liquid and back into a solid

Step 1:Take the jello powder and pour it in the bowl.

Step 2: Now get one cup of boiling water. You can use a boil pot
(solid) or hot tap water (liquid) when you have chosen you can pour
your cup of hot water into a bowl and stir until your powder has completely dissolved in the bowl.

Step 3: Next pour one cup of water into your bowl (solid) and stir until thicker than normal water.

Step 4: Put your liqiudish solid into the fridge.

Step 5: let set for about 12 hours.

Step 6: Enjoy :) !!!!! :)
                   










Planting Broccoli, Watermelon and Swiss Chard...

Materials:
-Soil
-Seeds
-Germinator
-Water
-Sunlight

Opening: Room 10 planted swiss chard, broccoli and watermelon.

What did we do:
Step 1: We got the soil then and the seeds. (We all chose what we wanted to plant)
Step 2: We put the soil in and the seeds were very gentle
Step 3:  We put a little bit of water in it every morning.
Step 4:  give it sunshine and water every morning and afternoon.





One week later...the broccoli and swiss chard are sprouting!




Starting Poetry

On April 9th Room 10 started poetry. So far it’s great (Everyone likes it). We made acrostic poems with are names and put them on our lockers. They all look AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! We are getting inspiration from the book “Everything on it”. I think it’s going to help us a lot (plus its so funny)!!! We are poetry heros!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

REMINDERS:

Math:
The Grade 1 and 2 students will be having a Math Money Quiz on Friday, April 12th.
Science:
The Grade 2 Animal Project is due April 17th.
Literacy:
The Grade 1 and 2 students have begun poetry and will continue throughout the month of April.
The Grade 1 and 2 students will have a Literacy Test on April 25th.
